I just fell and landed on the same part of my back that has a herniated disk. Already sore...any advice?

I have a huge herniated disk from a fall a few years back. I fell on ice again tonight. And, when I landed .... it hit the exact same spot. I am already sore....and it just happened two hours ago.

Any advice on how to care for this new/old injury? I am really worried that I won't be able to move tomorrow. The original herniation was already bad enough.

Thanks!!! :)

I can relate to your situation. I have had several back surgeries now to fix my back problem. Any way, I would suggest if you can stand it, to put ice on it for about 15 minutes then take it off. If you are like me and cold makes you freeze up then I suggest heat. When I fall I use a low or medium heat setting, on a heating pad for a couple of hours and the next day I still hurt but I am at least able to move. I use this on a regular basis to ease my pain level. It works wonders.
