Can a cervial herniated disk cause horrible shoulder pain? |
I also have really bad costochondritus too and my thumb and first and middle finger are numb. Can this all be caused by a ruptured disk in my neck? Thanks. My left shoulder and shoulderblade kills me and is worse at times then others. I had a cervical MRI that showed this and also stenosis and that explains the numbness in my arms and hands. Absolutely. My husband has 2 herniated discs in his neck, and it about kills him. He is also suffering from carpal tunnel syndrome, and next week will be having the surgery for it. The Doctor told him that it will hopefully relieve some of the neck/shoulder pain, and wants to try it first before they go in performing a more tedious one. Yes, cervical disk problems can affect not only your neck but your shoulder(s), your arm(s) and your entire upper body. Did you injure yourself? Why do you suspect a herniated disk? If you woke up with a stiff neck then you probably don't have a ruptured disk, I would take anti-inflammitory mediaction like Motrin. If you haven't already done so I would suggest going to a doctor to be evaluated. |
