Could the ability to get a herniated disk be hereditary? You can have things in your family history that may predispose you to herniated discs...arthritis,degenerative disc disease etc... There could be a risk factor of families with certain spinal ailments. In our family there's a lot of arthritis and I've been the fourth generation so far that has a multitude of back ailments, including herniated discs, scoliosis, and degenerative joint disease. I also have spondylosis in the cervical spine. My daughter and both sons also have back problems..making it five generations! |
