OK, I played college basketball last fall, ended up quiting but in that time we had a very intense workout schedule, something I wasn't used to. I went to the doctor and he told me I had an inguinal hernia, I then visited a surgeon and he told me my hernia wasn't "that big to HAVE to have surgery". I still have pains from this, at the spot of the hernia (kind of a burning feel) my testicles ache a lot and feel swollen and that swolleness goes into my penis at times, sometimes when I begin to urinate theres a sharp burn/pain for a split second. I have sharp pains in my leg (on the same side as hernia). Pretty much I am kind of sick of having these pains. I have done a lot of research making sure all of these were hernia symptoms and were so should I go ahead go back to my doctor and try to set up something to get rid of this? I am just tired of taking ibuprofen and it feeling better for a few days then back to this whole deal. Is it normal mine isn't that big and I still have this pain? You can wear an inguinal hernia belt, available at your local pharmacy. This will help relieve your discomfort. If it's still an issue, have a second opinion and see whether surgery is right for you. |
