Hernia repair and tummy tuck?

A friend of mine is going in for a hernia repair and tummy tuck, which got me thinking about my belly. We've had 2 kids (and we're done) and what's left is an umbilical hernia and a fair bit of extra skin just on my belly. I was all belly when I was pregnant - a lot of stretched skin. I'm just wondering about the hernia repair and tummy tuck operation, if anyone has done this, if it's worth it, and if there's any other way to get rid of this extra skin. It's not fat, just skin. Also, would it be worth it to have my breasts lifted at the same time? Breastfeeding really did a number on them. And, how much of this would insurance normally pay? I'm sure they'd pay for the hernia, but the other stuff? What's the healing time for this kind of surgery?

Any information would be great. Thanks!!

hi there
i had a tummy tuck/breast lift done recently.if`s there a lot of extra skin, then tummy tuck is a way to go,but bear in mind,it does come with a price!u should try to be as fit as u can b4 u decide to do it,no smoking for atleast 3 weeks prior surgery and after.(only if u wanna have a good result!)there will be a visible scar just above your pubic line for quite sometimes!but hvg said that,i reckon it worth it!now i had a very flat stomach(none of the exercise help, specially after 2 kids!)that`s the reason i did it&to feel better about myself, not for anybody else!!no lifting, heavy exercise within 6 weeks(u can walk, swimming, cycling)i feel much better about myself now and it keep me motivated to stay fit!!about breast lift, the healing time`s quicker,at least in my case!insurance won`t cover for any of this surgery!hope this help, feel free to ask if u have any other question.

I work in Plastic surgery and you would love the results of both, Insurance does not usually pay for these surgeries.
I am going to give you a great website you can learn so very much.
