I'm concerned about using herbicides to kill the weeds on my lawn. Are there studies that show whether herbicides have been proven to cause cancer or any other disease?
Thanks! There's a lot of studies that say it causes cancer. Personally I think everything causes or is said to cause cancer so why worry about it. Yes, if you're a tree. Yes, there have been numerous studies. The same toxins that kill the living organisms on the lawn also affect our enzymes and organs.
I would strongly suggest yyou think of something more natural than using chemicals It's certainly been suggested that there's a link to cancer (though the cynic in me has to point out that they suggest a link between just about everything and cancer these days), though it's from eating food on which pesticides have been used - I've never heard of a link between spraying it and cancer.
Just don't eat it, and wash all your veg from the supermarket, and you should be fine. |
