Herbal medicine for anxiety and depression? |
Does anyone know of any herbal/over the counter medicine for anxiety (with depression)? I know there is St. John's Wort but because of my birth control I can't take that. I've also read of "Stressezz and True Calm." Do those things actually work? I'd rather stay away from prescription medicine since I don't have health care coverage right now. Thanks. Hi,i have recently had a nervous breakdown,i am not one for prescription medicines, try: Blackmores relaxation formula(formerly called nervaids),i was in a bit of a mess and this does seem to help,of course everyone is different, just because it works for me does'nt go to say it will work for everyone else too! Best of luck and give yourself plenty of rest. Homeopathic Remedies for Anxiety / Panic Attacks / Stress / Depression(Bereavment) / Mood Swings :- St. John's Wort will relieve depression symptoms for a couple hours, maybe three. Then you get a crash. If you increase the frequency of the doses, you will eventually crash anyway. As you say, it's a no-no with birth control. |
