Eczema , Did any one hear or used chinese herbal medicine?

I have a 3 year old daughter. she suffers from eczema. I've tried everything . And I mean everything so no need to tell me about western medicine. However , I want to know if there are anyone out there that can help me out eastern herbal medicine. My wife wanted to try this and we did. But it is hard to believe cause eastern medicine is usually a long term solution so they say. they say it should be alot better after 6 months.
First of all , this medicine is not cheap. 2nd ,this medicine is black and smells and tastes really bad so my daughter has hard time drinking this stuff. My wife is very optimistic about this medicine but I happen to disagree.
first , lets put aside how expensive and bad it tastes. The herbal doctor tells us , skin might get worse for the first 2 weeks. they explanation is that it's because it's taking toxin away from your body like breakout after quit drugs and smoking.but I don't buy that. I think it's because of it's somekind of allergic reaction.let me know

please let me know if you know anything about this. I dont want to give her this stuff but my wife does. please help

I'm not sure about something like that. I like natural things compared to chemical but I do know that there are natural things that can hurt you as much or more than chemical ones too.
