Hello guys,aim a type 2 diabetic and Dr. said i have complication, what type of exercise and herbal medicine? |
Dr.said complication from the heart, but i think i can still manage this, thats why if possible, perhaps could help proper exercise and herbal medicine . this complication is mild may be. Answer from an EX-Diabetic. When my doctor found my diabetes (Type 2), my fasting blood sugar was 486! I'd had a heart attack and didn't even know it, no pain, no shortness of breath and no dizziness. He put me on glucophage and avandia. He also put me on insulin. My exercise level was already high so we decided to change my diet. I was already eating a healthy diabetic diet. Yet my blood sugar stayed high. Didn't cheat. Didn't eat candy, ice cream, pie, cakes or any other sugar food. We decided to change my diet. Low carb, Not high protein, just low carb and those carbohydrates had to come from vegetables. I was allowed 1 piece of fruit twice a week. No food with flour in it, No high starch vegetables, no sugar, no bread. I was only allowed 50 grams of carbohydrates per day. Guess what, I only lost 10 pounds but my blood sugar started going down. After all of this, I am no longer on any insulin or medication for Diabetes. My blood sugar now ranges from 80 to 110 even after eating a piece of fruit. I have been diabetes free for 2 years. You should check your suger levels regularly and keep it low. You should excercise to reduce your weight if weight is a problem. Do aerobic kind of excercise will reduce your blood glucose level. Try to eat small meals with low sugar content. If these won't help, you should take medications. Hello: Registered Nurse here; Your Doctor should have gone over the measures to assist you with your cardiac problems. Having said this I will share some things with you, however you should most assuredly talk with your doctor before beginning any of it. Walking, walking, walking, is the single most important exercises for a diabetic or anyone for that matter. Doesn't have to began at a fast pace, you can began walking just slowly and casually, don't push your self to exhaustion. Treadmills are excellent source if unable to walk out of doors. However unless the temperature is hot, or cold, the walk outdoors itself does wonders for your spirit. Diet of course plays important role, whole grain foods, whole grain breads, whole grain pasta, cereals, such as Cherriors and Oatmeal. Try to eat these cereals without any sugar, balanced meals, with lean meats, such as: ground turkey, baked chicken, and yes you can have red meats also. Just try and balance out your menus to where you don't have all red meats. Fruits and vegetables cannot be stressed enough, bananas, apples, organes, grapes, pineapple, if not fresh then get fruits in light syurp and wash in strainer, prior to eating. If unable to wash, simple don't drink the juice they come in. Snacks, cheese, string cheese, deli sliced lean turkey, and chicken, whole wheat crackers. A change in life style, eating nutritional foods may be difficult at first, but if your determined in a very short time you will become accoustome to this diet and regular walks, and most of all your heart will thank you. Any movement that you can do is considered exercise, If you are limited realize what you can do and do it often in sets to establish a routine. Keep sugars at your assigned level and take proper medications prescribed by your Doctor for your heart. Don't skip doses. Your Diet might be altered just a little bit that would include no salt. Getting on the fruit may help your heart but you would not be doing your diabetes any favors.Oatmeal(the type you cook),great stuff.But don't be putting sugar on it.Try a little cream instead.Careful when choosing deli meats.Some are sugar cured. Before you do anything new, you should get your heart problem evaluated so you know where you stand.Then see a diabetic counselor. and get on the way to better health. |
