Hepatitis???

are ppl who drink more prone to getting any form of hepatitis?

Hepatitis, by the general definition, is inflammation of the liver.

Alcohol consumption puts a tremendous strain on the liver. Alcoholism is the greatest single cause of hepatitis in the world.

Now, if you're thinking of infectious hepatitis (a liver inflammation due to a pathogenic organism) that's a different cause. The virus or organism doesn't care if you drink or not.

However people who drink may have a worse case of hepatitis than someone who does not simply because of the taxing effect of the alcohol on the liver.

yes they do because people get drunk and drink someone elses. I used to drink my drink before going in to the bathroom, or had to leave i would just leave the drink.

Heavy drinkers can get hepatitis just from the toxic effects of alcohol. The word hepatitis refers to inflammation of the liver and is ordinarily associated with elevated liver enzymes in the blood.

Alcohol in and of itself would not directly cause infectious hepatitis such as Hepatitis A, B, C or other viral causes, but it is possible that there could be an association, say, if intoxicated people might be more likely to engage in risky behavior such as unprotected sex or needle sharing.
