Complications of hepatitis-B&Hepatitis-C?

what are the complications of hepatitis-B&hepatitis-C?

With either virus the liver becomes scarred and it's ability to filter the toxins decreases. With a co-infection of both Hep C (HCV) & Hep B (HBV) the damage progresses much faster. HCV by itself is a slowly progressing disease, and people can be asymptomatic for years, even decades. With HCV/HBV coinfection, there may be symptoms of cirrhosis or end stage liver disease much quicker. If that person also drinks alcohol &/or takes drugs (even OTC drugs, herbals, or prescriptions) in excess of recommended doses, that can add more fuel to the fire.
Complications of HBV/HCV coinfection are fatigue, joint pain, muscle aches, cirrhosis, end stage liver disease, possibly liver cancer and /or the need for transplantation if they are lucky. HBV/HCV can be treated with interferon & ribavirin for about a year. The HCV often dominates the two infections, and if treated, the HBV is usually wiped out with the treatment. Treatment is not effective in all that try it and there are many factors that affect the success of treatment. Hope this helps. Best wishes.
