About my Hepatitis B condition?

Last year i have been diagnosed to have hepatitis B (HBsAG + &anti HBcAb + )
My health condition is good&i don't have any symptoms.I'm 26 years old.i don't have any medical problems.
I was advised to do liver enzymes.
i made them &found SGPT 348 u/l (N:0-40 u/l)
SGOT 116 u/l (0-42 u/l).So it seems that i have chronic hepatitis.
Do u advise me to take antiviral therapy like interferon alfa or lamuvidine????

Yes, your liver enzymes are high and the virus is causing scarring on your liver (called fibrosis). Hepatitis B (HBV) can cause cirrhosis and liver cancer. Staying on treatment can normalize your liver enzymes and keep the fibrosis from severely damaging your liver. There is no dialysis for a damaged liver, so you must take good care of the one you have. You should be seeing a good gastroenterologist or infectious disease specialist; they are trained in dealing with hepatitis and other liver diseases. Also, the first thing the doctor should have told you is to NOT drink alcohol. Alcohol actually helps the virus to reproduce faster, causing more damage more quickly. Check out the website below for good information on HBV. Best wishes.

You might want to ask this under science and medicine...more doctors or med students there I think.. I knew someone who took interferon and got small holes wherever the shot went in...she had lupus, so maybe that had something to do with it. I think you have to draw it up and then change the needle, so that there isn't any of the drug on the outside of the needle...or else you get the holes?
