Hepatitis c ?

can hepatitis c b spread through vaginal fluids or sperm?

Transmission of hepatitis C occurs primarily from contact with infected blood, but can also occur from sexual contact or from an infected mother to her baby. Blood transfusions prior to 1992 and the use of shared needles are other significant causes of the spread of hepatitis C.

yes.

hepatitis c can only be spread from the transfer of blood. the sperm itself will not infect you. they say if you have many partners you're more prone to get it, however, condoms can prevent that.

so the answer is actually no, but if the infected partner's penis is bleeding, then the answer is a maybe, that blood would need to reach the female's blood....not so easy. also bleeding gums is something to watch out for.

hope that helps a little

Yes, they can both be spread through sexual intercourse! It is important to use condoms. The doctor will check for the patient's viral load and viral shed. If it looks like there is virtually no risk and the patient is in a monogomous relationship, he may say it is ok to have sex without a condom. No one should assume they aren't infectious without the proper care of a doctor. It is just too risky. This goes for oral sex also as the mouth may have microscopic undetectable cuts in it. The other part of this is that hepatitis may not cause illness for many years after initial infection. It is very sneaky and not something to mess with.

Hepatitis C is spread from blood to blood contact ONLY. It is NOT spread through semen, sweat, tears, saliva, vaginal secretions, or any other bodily fluids. You must come in DIRECT contact with an infected person's blood to have any risk of contracting Hep C.
