Hemorrhoids how to deal?

I got hemorrhoids the other day and I have tried everything. Tucks, sitz baths, ice prepration h nothing is working. They are not to terribly painful till I have to pass gas, why does it hurt to pass gas. And the fact that it hurts to pass gas makes it difficult to tell weather I actually have to pass gas or if I need to make a bowel movement. Any suggestions. No sarcastic answers please embarrassing enough to have to post.

Hemorrhoids are varicose veins of the rectum. You need to increase your fluid intake and your fiber intake. Also if your stools are hard use a stool softener like colace aka docusate to help keep them soft. Your hemorrhoids are irritated which is why they hurt even with passing gas. There is no magical cure to ease the pain until the inflammation goes down some. You best bet is to prevent more from forming by using the suggestion I gave you. If they get really troublesome you may need to see your doc to see about having them removed surgically.

go to a doctor for something stronger and maybe you need surgery, sorry

continue previous prescription(sitz baths...)if doen't work ,seek medical-surgeon-expert help.

Bear with me, this sounds a bit gross.

You need a handheld shower massage for this. If you have one, put it on the concentrated spray with water that's hot but comfortable. Pull your butt cheeks apart and spray it on the sides of your crack. Keep spraying until you feel better.

This accomplishes a couple things: the spray provides a "scratching" sensation, which is immediately appreciated. The warm pulsing water helps the swelling go down and helps circulation. And it cleans you up preventing irritation from... uncleanness.

I swear, it really works. Totally relieves the itching, at least for the night. Only way I can actually get sleep when I have hemorrhoids. Not saying it's for the serious stuff that needs surgery, but for the occassional drive-you-nuts outbreak it's great.

dont worry i have the samething try having more fiber and also try anamantle hc it works and dont lift anything heavy for a while

i had them when i was pg. and i tried everything from witch hazel to prep. h.....then my granny came over with what sounded like the craziest thing in the world to put in that area......she made a homemade concotion with chewing tobacco.....and vasoline.....i think she used a minty kind to cool the area.....it worked almost instantly, i put that on the lay on my side for a bit with a pillow between my legs....and in about 10-15 mins i felt like id never had hemroids before.....heavy lifting can inflame roids so if you are doing alot of heavy lifting i would hold off on it till you are better....hope this works for you as well as it did for me.....

Hi, I started freaking out when i was pregnant with my first child and thought I had a hemorrhoid... It depends on whether or not they are internal or external... If you have external ones they can actually be surgically removed... You see, unfortunately hemmorrhoids can be relieved but there isnt much that can be done to 'get rid of' them without the doctors help... Witchhazel wipes are also known to be a great relief and there are certain creams out there that can be used... The internal ones, or fissures, are usually easier to deal with because they can be relieved like the external hemmorhoid and don't need surgery to be removed... The pain is meant to go away after a few days, so it won't last forever, but so far what you are doing is pretty much the best for your backside right now... Give it a couple more days, I think you'll be ok...
Oh and passing gas will hurt for the next couple of days because at the moment the hemmorhoid is stretching the skin to breaking point, it is going to be really sensitive and so therefore any heat from gas or bowel movements will be like little sharp knives brushing past.. If it does break you will experience a little bleeding, don't freak out like my sister did, she thought she was having a mscarriage.
Good luck, hope this helps

I use the preparation H cooling gell which helps a lot. Before I got it I could hardly sleep through the night. The baths kinda help but not as much. I just can't believe after 4 days mine have not gone away but at least it's gotten a little better. How much longer am I going to have to suffer?

It really depends on the severity of them. Diarrhea and constipation can make them flare up, pregnancy can make them horrible. If they're not flared, they probably won't hurt.
