I don't know what in the world is going on with me, haha and seriously, I don't care how embarrassing this is.
I am human, correct?
Anyways, I took a poo the other day and it didn't feel too good, and now my crapper hurts and I have gas, It really sucks.
What do you guys think this is?
Could it be hemorrhoids?
Maybe changing my diet would help?
I'm not sexually active at all, so it has nothing to do with that.
I really don't prefer to go to the doctor for this, I just wanna know some ways to treat whatever it could be? It doesnt bleed much when I go, it doesnt hurt much or itch at all. Hemorrhoid symptoms usually depend on the location:
* Internal hemorrhoids. You can't see or feel these hemorrhoids. But straining or irritation from passing stool can injure a hemorrhoid's delicate surface and cause it to bleed. You may notice small amounts of bright red blood on your toilet tissue or in the toilet bowl water. Because internal anal membranes lack pain-sensitive nerve fibers, these hemorrhoids usually don't cause discomfort. Occasionally, straining can push an internal hemorrhoid through the anal opening. If a hemorrhoid remains displaced (prolapsed), it can cause pain and irritation.
* External hemorrhoids. These hemorrhoids tend to be painful. Sometimes blood may pool in an external hemorrhoid and form a clot (thrombus), causing severe pain, swelling and inflammation. When irritated, external hemorrhoids can itch or bleed.
As a general rule, see your doctor if your hemorrhoids don't improve with self-care, cause pain, or bleed frequently or excessively.
A common sign of internal hemorrhoids is rectal bleeding. But rectal bleeding can occur for other reasons, so see your doctor to rule out more serious conditions or diseases. Other causes of bleeding in the lower gastrointestinal tract include colorectal or anal cancer.
If the onset of your hemorrhoids occurs along with a marked change in bowel habits or if you're passing black, tarry or maroon stools, consult your doctor without delay. These types of stools can signal more extensive bleeding elsewhere in your digestive tract.
Seek emergency care if you notice large amounts of rectal bleeding, lightheadedness, dizziness or faintness.
You can temporarily relieve the mild pain, swelling and inflammation of most hemorrhoidal flare-ups with the following self-care measures:
* Use topical treatments. Apply an over-the-counter hemorrhoid cream or suppository containing hydrocortisone, or use pads containing witch hazel or a topical numbing agent.
* Keep the anal area clean. Bathe (preferably) or shower daily to cleanse the skin around your anus gently with warm water. Soap isn't necessary and may aggravate the problem. Gently drying the area with a hair dryer after bathing can minimize moisture, which can cause irritation.
* Soak regularly in a warm bath. Do this several times daily.
* Apply cold. Apply ice packs or cold compresses on the anus to relieve swelling.
* Use a sitz bath with warm water. A sitz bath fits over the toilet. You can get one at a medical supply store or some pharmacies.
* Don't use dry toilet paper. Instead, to help keep the anal area clean after a bowel movement, use moist towelettes or wet toilet paper that doesn't contain perfume or alcohol.
* Take oral medications. You can use acetaminophen (Tylenol, others), aspirin or ibuprofen (Advil, Motrin, others) temporarily to help relieve your discomfort.
These self-care measures may relieve the symptoms, but they won't make the hemorrhoid disappear. See your doctor if you don't get relief in a few days, or sooner if you have severe pain or bleeding. Better get it check, if not try going on a fiber diet, eating lots of fiber. If you eat too much fat they kinda harden and makes your poo hard especially when your bowel is not regular your waste gather up till you totally can't hold it in. By then too much fats have stuck to them making them hard to release when you poop. Change in diet should help. If that doesn't help, you must see a doc. Well, it could be haemorrhoid's, or it could be something alot worse, you say you have gas, gas is associated with diverticulitis, do you have sharp pains in you lower abdomen?
I can understand you not wanting to go get it checked out. I tell you what to do for now, Yes, change your diet to lots of good fibre, fresh veggies, fruit and heaps of water. Also go to the pharmacy and buy yourself some ointment like Rectonil or whatever brand they have in your neck of the woods. They usually come with an applicator, which you fill and shove it up the poo hole. This should relieve your symptoms and if it don't, then you definitely have to go to the docs.
Good luck. Wow you already got great answers there. I will add my personal experience.
I have been having hemorroids on and off since I had my daughter 24 years ago, as a result of the baby pushing too much. While at the hospital, they had me take warm baths and it really worked.
Ever since, if I do not eat enough fiber and my feces are harder, they come back. Or, if I eat too much peanuts, same thing. So fill half your plate with steamed or boiled veggies and drink at least 2 liters of water a day.
When I take psyllium husks, or Metamucil, I have 2 to 3 bowel movements a day, which is good for cleansing, and my feces are softer, which do not put any strain on my hemorroids, and they go away in a week.
And, when I exercise, I need to run to the bathroom right after. So, exercise would also help.
Like all the others, I would suggest to seek a doctor if your symptoms do not go away in a week or so after you changed your diet - if you need to change it of course. This could be serious.
I hope your gaz is only the result of bad food combination. I suggest that you eat fruits separately between meals, and that you do not mix meats with starch (bread, potatoes, rice).
There are nice female doctors that can help you I am sure.
Good luck! Did you eat anything hot or maybe something that had peppers in it? |
