what is the difference between dengue fever and dengue hemorrhagic fever aside form the fact that the latter is deadlier? does dengue hemorrhagic fever occur AFTER you have dengue fever? pls help

Dengue Hemorrhagic fever is caused by a different strain of the virus and is fatal.

The hemorrhagic form of dengue fever is more severe with a higher risk for mortality.

Dengue fever and DHF are different spectra of the same disease. DHF is the more severe form. Dengue is more severe in older people and in subsequent attacks. Dengue fever with fever and severe body ache is more common during the first attack, and DHF with bleeding in a subsequent attack. One attack does not give lifelong immunity.
