What is hemophilia the disease?

i need more info

isn't that where your body doesn't produce enough platelets to clog a bleeding cut?

A: Hemophilia is a rare disorder in which a person's blood does not clot properly because the body does not produce enough of, or is missing, the blood clotting proteins, Factor VIII or Factor IX. The body depends on these clotting factors to stop bleeding after injury and to promote healing. When a person with hemophilia gets a cut or bleeds internally, he bleeds longer than someone without hemophilia. Internal bleeding is usually into joints and muscles, but can also occur in the brain or other organs.

Its a blood clotting disorder. The blood has no clotting factor which has to be suplimented by daily shots.

it's where your blood doesn't clot and if you get a bad cut you can bleed to death.

It is a disease that only males can have. It's a disease where the blood does not clot and a person can bleed to death if they get cut, and they will need to go to the hospital immediately.

Hemophilia is a rare inherited bleeding disorder in which the blood does not clot normally. The tend to bleed more offten and more eaisely than others and offen can be more dangerous, There also maybe some interal bleeding.

Hemophilia is a hereditary bleeding disorder in which it takes a long time for the blood to clot and abnormal bleeding occurs. This disease affects mostly males. Diseases in this category include:
hemophilia A
hemophilia B
hemophilia C
von Willebrand's disease
Please see the webpages for more details on Hemophilia.

It is not true that only males can have this condition. It is rare for females to carry this disease because it is carried on the X chromosome. Males are XY, and females are XX. In a female, both X chromosomes would have to have the trait in order for the female to aquire it.

Another interesting fact is that the royal families of Europe were prone to hemophilia due to...inbreeding :P
