When People With Hemophilia have Their periods, does the blood ever stop?

Women CARRY the gene for hemophilia while men actually HAVE the disease.

It is VERY RARE to have a female hemophiliac, but it CAN happen. In cases like this, IF it were determined that a female hemophiliac might be at risk of bleeding to death from menstruation, I would venture to guess that they might perform a pre-pubescent hysterectomy to deter the possibility of hemorrhage.

are you for real?

Only men have hemophilia, chicks do not have that disease....

There is no such thing as a female haemophiliac.

Can't both men and women have Hemophilia?? (referring to the answer above) If you have a problem with blood not stopping, it doesn't know if you're male or female??? Sorry, i was just wondering too????

For the question posted, I'm not sure. Your body should know when to stop it???

For the most part, females just carry the gene for hemophilia. It is VERY rare in females. Females have 2 X chromosomes--one masks it.

Females that carry the gene have been know to have "mild' symptoms...through HEAVY periods. It stops--sometimes only by medication. The gentic disorder needs to be know to the individual, for sure.
