Are there any people still alive with hemophilia?

I know that many were at grave risk from having to take blood products and may have contracted AIDs before it was known to be a problem.

I have a 7 yr. old son with Hemophilia and we have had the pleasure of meeting MANY adults over the years that are still living with the disease. Ironically, I have a long time family friend that is one of the oldest known living hemophiliacs at the approx. age of 70! Technology is a great thing!

Yes that was true at. At one time there was a problem with many hemophiliacs contracting the AIDS virus through blood transfusions but that was many many many years ago.....blood is never given to anyone without being tested for the virus therefore making it impossible for someone to get the virus due to a blood transfusion.

Hemophilia is still a relevant disease just as much as it ever was and there is no longer any concerns as far as the HIV virus goes in treating patients with Hemophilia.

wait a minute, let me ask my cousin........yep he's still alive.
