My mum wants to know how long a person with hemophilia lives if they don't receive the factor 8? |
Factor 8, a substance that will allow blood to clot. Also, is it possible to receive factor VIII through another hospital in another country (USA?). Where I live, it is not available for anyone! Please state any organization, system, etc. that does this. There are two common forms of hemophilia. One is a result of deficiency or absence of factor VIII, the other is a deficiency of plasma thromboplastin component. This is kind of a silly question. If a hemophiliac is very, very careful, he can live out his entire lifespan whatever that may be. This question doesn't allow for trauma and I am not going to speculate on how every type of injury possible might adversely affect a hemophiliac. Frankly, I'm surprised you chose my answer as the best one. In truth, unless specific parameters are established, the answers to your question would go on and on because different circumstances will have different outomes. There's too much "if this, then that" to give a single answer. Report It Tell mum to ask the doctor. probably not for long. if they injure themselves it will be almost impossible for them to stop. tell your mum....that she should continue the use of the meds or else she could die from something so simple as a paper cut |
