Anyone on hemodialysis, how are you finding life on it? whats the one food you've had to give up/?

can't eat as much of anymore.

I am on APD, automated peritoneal dialysis, and have not had to give up any foods in particular. I don't have anything to do with cranberries but that is because I am on Warfarin. Other than that, I was told to eat a healthy diet.

My hubby was on peritoneal dialysis and he hated it. Stuck in night after night in a chair listening to that machine churning away not least to say the amount of medical crap that gets delivered to your house all the time. It really got him down. He was given a kidney by his sister and is doing well now. He's not allowed grapefruit and has gone off red meat. He was restricted in his water intake and now finds it difficult to drink plenty water - which he should now!

Its a tough life, and my thoughts are with you... Best wishes and good health to you in the future.

xx
