in dec .2005 .i had a nervous breakdown job related.i was seen by mental health m.d.'s. i was told that it is close to impossible to get workmans comp. for stress.i went on disability i was terminated from my job in july of 2006.i am 53 years old.i am trying to get back in the job force.i am finding out there is no way i can do my old job which was working in a hemodialysis clinic for over 25 years.just the thought of entering the clinic makes me sick to the point of vomitting.i want to retrain .is there any way workmans comp can help is it too late?

I would contact an Attorney. Being fired from your job while off for a medical/ mental reason, may be enough to get you somewhere. Also your Employment office may have an office called O.V.R Occupational, Vocational Rehab. They may have the funds to put you into some classes to help you get gainful employment in another field of work

i am going to follow this advice thank you! Report It
