How do u get rid of halitosis probably caused by helicobacter pylori? |
My friend is incidentally diagnosed to be infected with h. pylori during an egd. We read that h.pylori can also cause halitosis which he has.he was given antibioics but after the whole course, he didnt follow up.He doesnt have any abdominal pain.No abdominal symptoms except now he still has halitosis. Well, first off....that answer about the baking soda drink isn't neccessarly good for you. When you reduce the acid in your stomach, those bacteria can multiply like mad (the acid does protect your stomach from bacteria/viruses/amoeba/etc that you can ingest)....which in turn will make the h. pylori bacteria multiply, hence making the ulcer worse. use mouth wash? drink water more frequently? brush teeth more often? Mix one-half to one tsp baking soda in some water and use it as a mouth rinse. This might sound crazy to some, but brush your tongue when you brush your teeth. All those little taste buds can have bad breath contributors hiding in them. The baking soda water can also be drank to reduce the acidity in the stomach, but if on antibiotics, please check with a medical professional first. |
