Is it posible for Helicobacter pylori to be contages?

I atend a High school where 1/3 of the student bodie has either been dignost or show simtimes of this terrible bacteria ive even had it i think the cause is the lack of sanitary bathroom facilities and there is no hand soap is this a contiibuting factore can any thing be done.

MY school has the Highest student popuilation in an Hilborogh county school in Florida we have aproxmently 3,200 kids in a building desighned for 24 hundred and more keep coming

Can you contact the Board of Health. This is a real concern. Find out who you need to contact. I don't know where your from. This is a health issue. Carry with you the sanitizing soap, that contains antibacterial in it. Use precautions on the toilet, and wash your hands with the soap and do not touch the faucet, or door knobs. Use a paper towel to touch these things. This is awful.

whats that?

H. Pylori is contagious. In fact the discoverer of it (Nobel Prize winner last year) ingested a patients vomit just to prove it was a bacteria. It is less likely to spread through feces, though, it is still possible. However, one theory is that everyone has it naturally but only causes ulcers when agitated. It lives in the mucosa of the stomach lining. You should definately report an outbreak like this. Your school is actually madated by law to report it. It is easily treated with a round of antibiotics.

i would say it speads easily but its not THAT serious, since it can be treated easily with antibiotics..
try not to eat in school or go anywhere near the cafeteria..or the school's toilet either
