Is helicobacter pylori a death sentence? |
is it concidered a preexisting disease can one still get health insurance doc said malt lymphoma is not cancer i saw on several sites that it is a malignant cancer can anyone help Helicobacter pylori is not a death sentence. It should not be considered a pre-existing condition and should be easily treatable with antibiotics. Although, people with H. pylori infections have an increased risk of stomach cancer. This would be considered a pre-existing condition if you were diagnosed with cancer. My brother had H. Pylori and had stomach cancer at 23. He has been cancer free for 10 years so it is most certainly not a death sentence. I believe that this means you just have a stomach ulcer. All insurance companies are different so I would contact your insurance company to check if they consider it to be a pre-existing condition. I thought H P was a virus that causes an ulcer and you can take antibiotics for it to go away. It's not a death sentence and is easy to treat. But check with your Doctor in case youv'e had the ulcer for a long time and it's caused other problems like a constant heartburn or having hard time swallowing food. Good luck not too sure, all i know is that H. pylori can be treated with a combination of two antibiotics so that the bacteria does not know how to mutate because it can mutate and be resistant to one antibiotic. this is an extremely bad bacteria to live with and you will basically have to watch what you eat for the time that it is in you stomach (or digestive system). I also know that it secretes enzymes that breakdown your stomach (ulcer) and cause burning pain, but that is all the info i can give you. Hopefully you can get insurance on it because you are not the only one out there that is affected by it and there are plenty of other people out there. It is believed to come from undercooked chicken (at least thats what the latest research supposes). You have my sympathy, but life isn't over it, H. pylori is not worse than a lot of the other things out there such as AIDS H. pylori isn't a death sentence. Why ever would you think it was???? You must not know much about it. H. pylori is not a death sentence as everyone else has attested to, and lymphoma is indeed cancer of the lymphatic system (it is a liquid tumor not a solid one--like leukemia). There are several kinds of lymphoma (such as Hodgkins and non-Hodgkins) and they are fairly well treated with good life expectancies. Where did you get that idea? No Helicobacter Pylori infection is not a death sentence. Do you mean, "Heliobacter Pylorii"? H pylori is a bacteria and is easily treatable by your physician.............dan |
