What is helicobacter pylori positive. What test needed to find out the stage or seriousness of infection? Helicobacter pylori positive means, a micro-organism named 'helicobacter pylori' (discovered by Australian Doctors) is present and it caused ulceration in the stomach. h. pylori is what usually causes ulcers, i dont know what the test is called. im not really sure that they measure the "stage" of the infection, they treat the problems the bacteria causes (ulcers). but im not a doc and dont know for sure wait and see if someone else here knows better H-Pylori can also be detected by a blood test.. your other answers are great and give explanation, but it doesn't have to be done only by a swab of the area. |
