Is a stool test for h. pylori more accurate than any other test or something? |
Because I don't know why the hell my doctor wants me to **** in a cup instead of just ordering a blood or breath test. Is it more accurate or something? I had over 9 vials of blood drawn the other day to test for everything from thyroid problems to mono to anemia, all just because I'm having acid reflux AFTER I WAS ON SUPER HIGH DOSES OF PREDNISONE! Uh, hello! Could that be the cause?!!?!?! *rolls eyes* I KNOW that I don't have ulcers caused by the helicobacter pylori, as does she, but she's just being a ******* douche bag, not to mention she probably just wants to suck the extra $200 for the stool test instead of $0 extra dollars for the drop of blood it would take. Crap in an envelope and Fedex it to her - that will put an end to her stupid requests! putz Report It Hell, don't fuss here, fuss at the doctor. My GF found herself in nearly the same situation and vented at the doc and got results. I think you haven't a clue, that's what I think. Gee since you are the one who went to her, you must be suffering, so tell me.... Can you think of ANY way to test the combination of interaction of your system fluids including stomach contents with anything else that may be generated in your system AFTER your bowels have dealt with the left overs and body functions you have accumulated during your day, which is where she would need to start a comprehensive diagnosis to rule out the other hundreds of possibilities. Blood shows only certain results, as does swabbing or whatever may be needed. The key is to investigate what your body is dealing with and why and the last place it has any function is your colon. Taking a s**t in a cup could be your saving grace, get over it. I agree, buck it up It's not your being asked to take a crap sample from a total stranger!! It might help you |
