Which is the best treatment to erradicate helicobacter pylori? |
is there any effective treatment nowadays to erradicate this bacteria? best answer was --Biaxin, Amoxicillin and Previcid given in combination all together for 14 days minimum..... preferrably three weeks and you may also take peptobismol for any stomach discomfort during this regiem. This is called the triple treatment and seems to work in more than 95% of all cases to erradicate the bacteria.... An antibiotic, Pepto Bismol, and a Zantac-like drug all in combination. It takes several weeks to get rid of it, though. See your doctor or a GI specialist for prescriptions, and good luck! There is NONE available without a prescription in the US. |
