Anyone else?

Has anyone else had the stomach bacteria called...helicobacter pylori...just want to know if there are any dangers associated with it...my doctor didn't tell me much...he just put me on antibiotics.

Helicobacter pylori is the thing that causes ulcers. Not a super dangerous thing unless they go untreated for a very long time.

One side effect of being on antibiotics for an extended time (months and months) can be a yeast infection (Candida), so I would suggest plain yogurt (no fruit, not pre-sweetened) if it is allowed on your diet, as a preventative.

Its the bacteria that causes ulcers. If you don't treat it, you are at higher overall risk for stomach cancer.
I was one of the weird few that gets ulcers without H. Pylori infection-- turns out I have food allergies.

It causes Ulcers. Here is a website.

Hope this helps.

It is now known that H. pylori is far and away the most likely cause of gastric ulcers, and the danger for acute ulcer is hemorrhage, not to mention the pain associated with it.

I think it's the bacteria associated with causing stomach ulcers.
