Back problems after doing squats...need advice? |
(I'm a 20 year old, amature body builder) About 1 month ago I was doing Barbell full squats at home with no cushioning on the bar. I try to keep the bar on my shoulders, but it still leans a little on my back. I woke up the next morning with intense pain in my spine in the neck area. I kept warmth to it for 3 days and the constant pain slowly went away. Now a few weeks later I have noticed cracking,or snaping in my shoulder joints which NEVER ocured, I feel like something isn't right in my neck, as if "stuff" is "moving around" and positions which used to strain my neck after 20 minutes, now strain my neck and back after 5 minutes. OBVIOUSLY I have to get this checked out, but ill spare you my troubles and just say that I have no time. Can anyone offer advice on heeling process or what the injury might be? Thank you. you might have leaned forward (almost like a morning glory) when you were going down. you have to keep your back perfectly straight when you squat. Switch to the hip sled |
