PLEASE HELP!! What did I hurt in my knee? And how long/ what should i do to help it heal? |
Just over a week ago, I was skateboarding, and when i landed I came down into the normal crouch on the board, but my left leg slid of and from the bent position, twisted behind me. I immediately felt pain in the back and lateral area of my knee, went home and iced it on and off. Within a few days it felt a lot better, but now instead of improving it is at the same stage. Walking and all normal motion are fine, i dont even notice the injury, but if I go to pull my heel to the same side buttock, or if i squat my butt to my heels, i feel pain behind the knee on the lateral side. Pain is not unbearable but I dont know when i should return to skating/basketball while i still feel this. Also, sometimes once i have stretched or tried pulling my heel to my butt a few times already, eventually i can do it without noticing the injury, but i think this is because I have adjusted to the little pain. PLEASE tell me if you have any idea what i did or how long it takes to heal. there was NO SWELLING/BRUISING at any point, no symptoms except pain when squatting to heels, or bring heel to my butt Sounds like an MCL which could require surgery. If it doesn't get better in a few weeks, I'd see a Doc. If it really hurt it could probably be ur ACL |
