About cyropractors, is this worth the time & money?

does ne one know ne thing bout cyropractic work? i went to 3 sessions.the evaluation test was free to all who came to his class at curves. i had 2 adjustments. then he spoke to me about thousands of dollars for a year of adjustments. i dont have a lot of problems only soreness in my knee & heel.he said he could prbly fix that. i lost 50 lbs. & have 50 to go.i know my pain will improve with the 50 lb weight loss cause it got a little better with the first 50.when i drink a lot of water that seems to help too but i dont like water & dont always keep it up.the cryop. was a very nice man & the things he said made lots of sense but even with my insurance it's too expensive, especially if it won't work. i didn't notice ne difference after he cracked my neck.he said the head & spine are the only inner parts of the body that are incased in bone cause they are the most important things in the body. with ne injury we crush spine bones which causes pain to extremities that an adjustment fixes.

First of all, congrats on losing 50 pounds! Way to go!! Keep it up! Now on to chiropractors; I feel that thay are good for certain back problems, but they really rip people off--like you. I do not think he can help your knee. You need a regular MD for that. Don't give this "nice" ( they are all "nice") chiro any more of your money. You probably have arthritis. Try Aleve. It may solve your whole problem. If not, see a real doctor. Good luck, sweetie! :)

in some cases they do, I had my dad with spinal problem an i took him with one and work perfect his pain disappear, and even though he have to continuously going with him still better than before, but search don't just go with any one select the better and the most accurate one.

if u hav the time &the ability to spend , y not??

Any money you spend at a reputable chiropractor is worth it. I have benefited greatly, as has my husband and son. By all means, continue to release weight. Your chiropractor will continue to monitor your body changes and regular treatments will help increase your mobility and general sense of well being. The younger you are when you first start going, the fewer treatments you will likely require. Find a way to make some money to continue with the treatments - you will be so happy that you did.

Chiropractors are terrible. They often cause more damage. If you need relief, go to a Physical Therapist - they are the best! Also try swimming, you are weightless in the water and have much less pain.

And ALWAYS get 2 or 3 references from any professional before using their services.

I have a really great chiropractor, she's really more of a natural doctor. The role of a chiropractor is to get you well through exercise, therapy and natural treatments. The MDs only want to give you drugs or surgery. I too questioned why I had to come 3 times a week for my treatments, but now it's only 1x a month. I still have problems but I'm a lot better and the doctors really have done nothing for me.

Finally, when people ask me if it really works I tell them to drop by my chiropractors office and talk to the people in the waiting room. Some of them are firefighters and police officers that will tell you that it works.
