I am not able to walk for four months already, I am so frustrated !!!? |
I really need your support and help!! Four months ago, I fell when I tried to get of the bus and lend on uneven surface. I twisted both side of the right leg ankle. I thought that I just twist my ankle and I could handle the pain so I did not go to the doctor. I limped for a week and finally I could not handle the pain. I went to E.R. At that moment, my ankle was already turned inward. The E.R doctor said the X ray indicated no broken bone and she advised to me to walk more and more. She was unwilling to give me crutches but just gave a note for physiotherapy and indicated that "only soft tissue injury right ankle, please assiss and treat" So the next day I went for physiotherapy. The physiotherapist told me not to walk anymore because of 2nd degree sprain. I had some treatment at there and wore air cast and used crutches for 1 1/2 months. But the pain was still there and the ankle was unstable at all times. After 1 1/2 months, I started walked without crutches, the more I walked and the more bruise I got at the inner ankle. The physiotherapist told me no more walking and send me to sport clinic for x ray. The x-ray from sport clinic indicated that there was a fine line at Navicular Bone but not sure was a fractured or not. He needed for doctor to take a look of the X ray. For sure it was inflamed. The doctor put me in cast for 2 weeks. Two weeks, from the x-ray indicated that I had Accessory Navicular bone and did not know why the inflammation still there. So he put on walking boots for two weeks. After two weeks again, the inflammation still there, so he sent me for bone scan, the result shown that I had fractured the cartilage between the nacvicular and accessory nacvicular. I was put on cast for a whole month and on wheel chair. Yesterday, I had my cast off and put on the walking boot again. The doctor told me to try to walk, but I just can't. My outer side of ankle is giving away, my heel is hurting me, that Accessory Navicular bone is still enlarge and inflamed. I cannot make a step at all. The doctor said that waited for another two weeks and see. If things still won't change, then he will try another method. I did call them about my situation and waiting for them to call back. I am really frustrated. I can feel the pain even I am not walking. Please give me any advice and what did he mean for other methods? Please help me out owww that sounds painful. I broke my foot and walked around 2 winters ago with a broken toe and the long bone fractured for about 3 months before I thought, hey this isn't going away! I wound up with a swollen mess so I hear you and sympathasize with you. You think that's bad... I am a ski racer in Colorado, I was racing in a double black that day and crashed really hard. I tore my acl, mcl, and lateral meniscus! this sucks because I am a martial arts instructor and I can't do anything for 9 months! I can't walk either right now! |
