Should i worry about head injury??? |
i went to a Halloween party on Saturday i was a little buzzed and was wearing really big heels.. i lost my balance and fell back and hit my head on the floor it did hurt it was pretty hard...but just normal pain i have a small bump and when i touch it , it hurts like a bruise i have no other symptoms no vomiting no loss of speech my neck and shoulders hurt the next day but thats gone. I still have a mild headache witch goes away with pills...o and i checked my pupils and they are normal. should i be concerned??? how long should my head ache last??? my throat does hurt a little but i dont think thats related. Thank you in advance for all of your answers! The danger from head injuries comes from swelling or bleeding in the brain. Both of these things occur with the first 48 hours. So, if you haven't shown any neurological damage by now, it isn't going to happen. If you did not hit your head hard enough to get knocked out, its very unlikely that you could have caused an injury to the brain that would cause swelling or bleeding. if you are not having any kind of amnesia (memory loss) i wouldn't worry about it. Just to be on the safe side, go and get checked. With head injuries, sometimes the bad things don't show up at first, like a small clot or you could even have a small fracture in your skull. Hi princess, sounds like there's nothing wrong at you any more. Your doing great. i like to to go to a halloween party asl????? If the knot is out of bump was formed outwards then this is generally normal reaction to a fall, the pain and headaches should subside in a couple of days as the bruising goes away. it doesnt sound like much, but you should still get it checked out. |
