Should i worry about head injury???

i went to a Halloween party on Saturday i was a little buzzed and was wearing really big heels.. i lost my balance and fell back and hit my head on the floor it did hurt it was pretty hard...but just normal pain i have a small bump and when i touch it , it hurts like a bruise i have no other symptoms no vomiting no loss of speech my neck and shoulders hurt the next day but thats gone. I still have a mild headache witch goes away with pills...o and i checked my pupils and they are normal. should i be concerned??? how long should my head ache last??? my throat does hurt a little but i dont think thats related. Thank you in advance for all of your answers!

The danger from head injuries comes from swelling or bleeding in the brain. Both of these things occur with the first 48 hours. So, if you haven't shown any neurological damage by now, it isn't going to happen. If you did not hit your head hard enough to get knocked out, its very unlikely that you could have caused an injury to the brain that would cause swelling or bleeding.

Headaches are common after a head injury - even a minor one, and its not unusual for headaches to occur for weeks or even months after a blow to the head. You should be fine, but its a good idea to keep watching for other symptoms.

if you are not having any kind of amnesia (memory loss) i wouldn't worry about it.

Just to be on the safe side, go and get checked. With head injuries, sometimes the bad things don't show up at first, like a small clot or you could even have a small fracture in your skull.

Hi princess, sounds like there's nothing wrong at you any more. Your doing great.

i like to to go to a halloween party asl?????

If the knot is out of bump was formed outwards then this is generally normal reaction to a fall, the pain and headaches should subside in a couple of days as the bruising goes away.
IF both pupils are equal and responsive, and you haven't lost any time or memory them I would say that you will be fine.
However, I always recommend seeing a doctor after a trauma to your head, even if you have a bump and so real signs of trouble, you can have a subdural hematoma that can cause a broken blood vessal in your head to cause pressure on your brain, this can be life threatning and doesn't aways happen dirrectly after the accident. A vessel could break and then begin to heal theat same night and a simple cough or sneeze could cause that vessel to reopen and bleed again, this time causing real problems.
So next time, go get it looked at.

it doesnt sound like much, but you should still get it checked out.
it could be something worse that you just arent realizing.
good luckkk
