Really bad heartburn?

I am having pains in my chest that resemble heartburn, I never get heartburn so this is odd to me. and when I get the pain I get weak and a bit dizzy, and my eyes go a little fuzzy, does anyone have any remedies other than pepto that work cause pepto doesn't work for me thanks for any help I'd reall appreciate it.. the heartburn started light yesterday and has gotten a lot worse today..

I need to add, I have a really heavy feeling in my chest with this pain..

Have you tried any Calcium Carbonate (antacid)? That usually works to neutralize some stomach acid.

If that doesn't help (and it might not if the pepto didn't help), it might not be actual heartburn (which is from stomach acid welling up).... it's possible that you may have some other health concern that's causing it. Possibly something as simple as an allergic reaction, possibly as severe as an ulcer or heart problem.
I would recommend talking to your doctor as soon as you can, and if it's bad enough, you may want to go to the ER (and don't tell them you have heartburn... describe the symptoms and tell them what you've taken for it). Good luck!

The thing that works best for me is if I drink a glass of milk fast and it usually goes away within minutes.

For heartburn, you should avoid acid and spice in your food. Do not lie down immediately after eating. Drink less fizzy drinks,alcohol and coffee.
If the pain continues with these natural remedies, you should take 40 mg famotidine before you go to sleep.
