Heartburn? (i need answers asap)?

My mom said I have heartburn right now, so she gave me these chewy things the releaves gas. Will that help my heartburn? What will help stop the heartburn?

I tried ice, water, and apples and it still is not helping.

2 teaspoons of baking soda in a 6oz glass of water. It is the very best thing there is without a Rx. Here is a link that can help also

You can also try baking soda. I don't know the dosing. It might be on the box. Mix with water, of course. Also I've heard apples can releive heartburn. Why can't your mom make a quick-stop to drug-mart and get some TUMS?

It won't hurt you to take those, but if those don't work you may ask your mom to buy you some over the counter Zantac or Pepcid.

Gas and heartburn are completely different. You need an antacid. If you have any baking soda, that will help. Mix in a little water and drink it fast.

Try TUMS or drink some cold water

as someone said, releaving gas and heartburn are totally different.

i went to my doctor a few days ago regarding my heartburn cause i've had it for a long long time
there aren't anyways to stop it because it will always happen once in a while for everyone
but there are ways to prevent it (yay!)
- Avoid chocolate, caffeine, spicy and foods high in fat content, peppermint, garlic, onions, tomatoes. These easily trigger heartburn (depends on who you are, differs between people)

- Control your weight: being overweight is one of the strongest risks of heartburn because with the extra weight, it pushes against your abdomen which causes heartburn

- Avoid wearing loose clothing or loosen your belt

- Avoid lying down after meals.

- Raise the head of your bend

- Avoid bending and stooping such as gardening for 2 or 3 hours after a meal. Tying your shoes or bending over briefly is fine.

- Avoid eating large meals. Eat normal, well portioned meals.

And also, my doctor prescribed to me Pepcid AC. its an OTC drug, but it works pretty well thought. you might want to confront your doctor first

That should help.. Give it time to kick in :)

Nausea, HEARTBURN, indigestion, upset stomach, diarrhea
Yeah, Pepto Bismol!!!
