The worst heartburn, please, I beg you to help! SOS!? |
I have had pretty bad heartburn for the last 17-18 hours, and I have no idea why. I have also had problems with kidney stones, and flank pain within the past 2 weeks. My heartburn is not getting better, and it is very very painful, and making me feel increasingly uncomfortable. I have taken tums, and I have also taken a laxative. I just got done taking some ciprofloxacin for my urinary track infection, but stopped taking a few days ago. I stiil have an infection, and a mild yeast infection because of the cipro (antobiotic). I have no idea why I am feeling this much pain, and nothing I do seems to help in the slightest way. I am going to the doctor tomorrow, but I need relief right now. I want to knock myself our or something, the pain is unbearable. probably the cipro annoyed your stomach. you may want to buy acidophyllus, good bacteria in capsules to replace the ones the antibiotic killed off. if you have yougart, that can sooth too and add back more good bacteria. you can continue with the tums but better would be a pill form like nexium or other over the counter antacid. to knock yourself out, take benadryl. it is the main ingredient in otc sleep medicines.please be sure to discuss all with the md 2morrow as you can actually have an ulcer.goodluck;) also if you notice any bleeding, or dark stool be sure to tell the md cause you could have a stomach bleed. Be calm. Drink milk! Call your Dr. asp. Could be your heart causing this or a hernia. JenFer J. personally I would never want to kick myself out if I had a bad pain and I was not sure what was causing it. If you WERE knocked out, and you had a major medical problem...guess what...you would not be alert enough to take care of an emergency or call 911 or go to the hospital. The previous advisors were good. Jay I hope you're OK by now, or you should go to the Emergency Room if it gets worse or doesn't go away. 17-18 hours is a long time for heartburn. I know some say Tums don't work, but they do work for me. Good luck. Jay |
