I have heartburn if i put my two fingers down my throat to be sick would that help my heartburn. Thanks Whos give these thums down It may help relieve some of the immediate pain, but it will also damage your esophagus from about 4 different types of acid.
Heartburn is not from excess stomach acid. Doctors are precluded from treating you with anything except by a specific protocol given to them by the AMA (American Medical Association). This is a very powerful organization. Doctors will simply lose their license to practice medicine if they deviate from this protocol. It says, first the doctor must diagnose you. In your case, heartburn. Then he must ONLY prescribe drugs or surgery to solve the problem.
Now you lose.
Heartburn, acid reflux, and acid indigestion are all words made up by someone to describe the acidic feeling you get from food that backs up into your esophagus or makes your chest feel a burning sensation or stomach upset, acidic feeling.
The stomach is quite incredible. The parietal cells in the stomach produce acid at a pH of about .8 and this is almost as acidic as you can get. The scale goes from 0 to 14, with 7 being neutral. As you eat food, the amylase enzyme in your saliva starts the digestion of starches, primarily and then when you swallow the food, it becomes what is called bolus. This bolus enters your stomach and triggers the production of the stomach acid. If you have eaten protein, it will produce more acid because this protein must be broken down here and this is where a protein enzyme is excreted to break down the vitamin B-12 into smaller molecules so you can digest it. Vitamin B-12 is only found in animal protein. This is why many vegetarians and vegans end up becoming anemic.
The stomach acid has to create a pH in the stomach of 1.5 to 3.0 in order for the foods to be broken down properly. The pyloric sphincter at the bottom of the stomach closes to allow this process to happen and the body waits until the acid level reaches the 1.5 to 3.0 to let the food pass into the jejunum where calcium, magnesium, and zinc are absorbed. If the acidic level is not low enough, these minerals do not get absorbed!
The so called "heartburn" comes when the stomach acid is not produced or not enough is produced. The food sits there and is not getting digested and then LACTIC ACID is formed along with a few other acids, leaving this rotting, fermenting, disgusted bolus to putrefy. This mass generates gas and the expansion causes the bolus to reflux back up the esophagus and continue to ferment.
At this point, you become uncomfortable. So what do the doctors tell you to do? Antacids. O.K., what does this garbage do to you. It stops all digestion. Neutralizes the stomach acid, lactic acid, and any other acid. You feel better temporarily because the burning stops. But this putrefying mass becomes the chime that enters the small intestines. Now the pancreas is not called on to produce bicarbonate to neutralize the acidic chime and a whole cascade of health issues is created, like diarrhea, constipation from the compacted chime containing toxins and rotting food.
Now it's time to go to the pharmacy and buy more drugs for all the problems this antacid has caused you. Thank you doctor.
The solution is very simple and not expensive. In fact, as we age, eating cooked foods, and diets high in carbohydrates and low in fats and salt, we produce less and less stomach acid. Salt is where much of the CL- ion is used to create the HCL (stomach acid). Avoid table salt, it is just chemicals. Get "pink sea salt" that contains huge number of nutrients, all that are good for you. At the age of 70, we are producing only about 5% of what we did at 25. Ever wonder why old people get degenerative diseases in the U.S. and in many countries of the world this just doesn't happen? Why tooth decay just doesn't happen in many cultures, but is rampant in the U.S.?
Here is your solution to your heart burn that will solve the problem. If you have a damaged esophagus, you may have to spend a few weeks actually taking an antacid and go on an almost fast to allow your body to repair that damage, but if the damage has not been done, then you can follow this to keep it from happening to you or ever recurring. Sorry doctor, you lost a patient.
Go to: www.healthline.cc (not .com) and order the following:
Betaine HCL --- take 2 to 4 of these after each meal
Activator --- take 1 to 2 of these after each meal
Quantum Digest --- take 1 to 2 of these DURING the meal
Probiotic --- take 1 in the a.m. and 1 in the p.m.
The healthline company is the best one I've been able to find that does not use excipients like magnesium stearate, silica, talc, and other garbage that keeps the nutrients in pills from really working well. Their prices are good and you can order on line or call them. I have found their products live up to their slogan, "nutrition that really works."
I would also look into the "colon cleanse" these people sell. It really works and your whole digestive system will love you for doing all this. If you follow this, you will also be re-methylating your cells. Each cell has about 9 million methyl groups. After they lose about 2/3 of these, the cell dies and you age. Doing the above regime will also add years to your life expectancy.
Good luck to you I doubt it, it would burn worse for ages....and I have to say thats the least appealing question I have read today hehe well done no as its stomach acids that causes heartburn
try gaviscon, rennies or just plain milk to soothe it no what??? No your heartburn will no go away if you make yourself throw up! Eat some tums or rolaids instead probably not, bananas are supposed to help No. Inducing vomiting is a stupid thing to do if you have heartburn, all you will do is burn your throat from the acids that come up from your stomach.
Use heart burn meds instead. Absolutely not. There are plenty of over the counter remedies that will help your heartburn , like antacids, pepto, pepcid ac. Good luck I'd try an antacid first rather than enforced vomitting, it is what they are for and far healthier, try maalox, gaviscon or zantac. Probably not. If your heartburn only happens after eating certain foods, then stop eating those foods. If it happens a lot, then it's something that you're eating a lot of. For me it was bread. Now, no bread, no heartburn. Life is good again. PEPCID AC .. chewable works the best and fastest. over the counter and cheap It wouldn't help the heartburn, but, you COULD cause yourself to bleed to death if you hit your throat just right. Figure out what is GIVING you heartburn and work with it. Our bodies know what is good for us to eat, and what is NOT good for us to eat. Start following what your body tells you to do. If it gives you heartburn, your body is telling you, "Don't eat that! I hate it!"..........just listen to your body. Pain is how the body tells you that something is wrong. No, that will just aggravate it and make it worse. Best natural remedy for heartburn is ginger. Swallow a tespoonful of chopped or minced ginger, miged with a lil honey to take away the bite. You can also sip on ginger tea, which can be bought in chinese herbal or health shops. Another option is rennie heartburn tablets. Throwing up is the worst thing you can do.
GERD occurs when muscles of the lower esophagus do not function properly. This causes food and acids from the stomach to leak back -- or reflux -- into the esophagus. GERD and its most frequent symptom of heartburn can be aggravated by foods, certain medications, and other factors. Here are some suggestions to improve your heartburn symptoms.
Don't go to bed with a full stomach. Eat meals at least two to three hours before lying down --Don't overeat. Decrease the size of portions at meal times, or try eating four to five small meals instead of three large ones.
Eat slowly. Take time to eat -- don't rush. Try putting your fork down between bites.
Wear looser-fitting clothes.
Avoid heartburn triggers. Stay away from foods and beverages that trigger your heartburn symptoms (for example, onions, peppermint, chocolate, caffeine-containing beverages such as coffee, citrus fruits or juices, tomatoes, or high-fat foods).
Shed some pounds. If you are overweight, losing weight can help relieve your symptoms.
Stop smoking. Nicotine, one of the main active ingredients in cigarettes, can weaken the lower esophageal sphincter, the muscle that controls the opening between the esophagus and stomach, preventing the acid-containing contents of the stomach from entering the esophagus.
Avoid alcohol. If your aim is to unwind after a stressful day, try exercise, walking, meditation, stretching, or deep breathing instead of drinking alcohol.
Keep a diary or heartburn log. Keep track of when heartburn hits and the specific activities that seem to trigger the incidents.
If Your Heartburn Is Worse When Lying Down:
Raise the head of your bed so that your head and chest are higher than your feet. You can do this by placing six-inch blocks under the bed posts at the head of the bed. Don't use piles of pillows to achieve the same goal. You will only put your head at an angle that can increase pressure on your stomach and make your heartburn worse.
Drink more water. YUCHHHH!!!!!!! That wont work you could try Rennies, or Gaviscon no it will make it worse try drinking full fat milk ..... :) I have never seen so many thumbs down how strange some people are !! It is never a good idea too make yourself sick as the acids can damage your throat.the best thing I have found is banana and milk and cut down on any greasy food xx eating apples are good thats what i did it works |
