Why do I have constant Heartburn...why, why, why?

For 5 weeks now I have had non stop heartburn. I have tried everything from Pepto to Zantac to get rid of it. Nothing works, nothing really even holds it down some. I'm not pregnant, I am no longer eating or drinking anything that might trigger it (although its already here), or make it worse. Because of it I stopped smoking, so thats a good thing! But this heartburn hurts! I can feel it start in the center of my stomach and rise to my throat. The pain has me in tears at times it's so bad. It's like a burning and throbbing pain. Sometimes when it happens I get acid that comes up and there is spots of red(blood, maybe) and almost always have a slight taste of blood in my mouth and a metal taste. I'm not over weight and I don't eat constant nor do I starve myself or bulemic. I have proper eating habits. so what the h3ll is going on? Why the pain, why the burn, the blood and metal taste and why hasn't it gone away? I have been on prescribed meds for heartburn and still nothing. CONTINUE.

I am seeing a Doctor right now but he is a quack and can not speak english for sh*t! So I am in the middle of changinging DR's. So please do not tell me to see a DR. Do you think it sounds like gerd or acid reflux? Or maybe its something more serious? Cancer runs in my family. . Once my DR is changed I will talk to him. I am just wondering if anyone has ever heard of this? I have googled the h3ll out of it, but am only left with more questions. All I know is this sh*t hurts, I can't lay down for long let alone sleep, eat good food, enjoy anything because its always there! I would rather not go to the ER, because they really dont do sh*t but give you a referral, but should I go?

You need to see a Gastroenterologist as soon as possible. It sounds like you have GERD or acid reflux. It is important to start on a course of treatment as soon as possible because the lining of your esophagus and stomach can suffer serious damage, sometimes ulcers can occur, and it sounds like you may already have a bleeding ulcer. You should see your primary care doctor at once and get a referral to a Gastroenterologist; they specialize in anything related to the digestive system. You will find that the medication and treatments available out there are almost miraculous. I did! Good luck to you and you will feel better in no time!

In the meantime, take OTC Prilosec........will help with your symptoms until you can get into the doc. Report It

Sounds like GERDS; keep doctoring, constant acid in your throat can cause severe problems and possibly cancer.

acid reflex, I think that is what it is called

The blood spotting and metallic taste indicate a pretty urgent need for immediate care. Don't mess around with that because if you get a perforation somewhere it will REALLY suck and may involve major surgery to save you.

Meantime, drink WATER. Get an RO (reverse osmosis) filter to take out the chlorine and other crap and corruption - and drink at least a gallon of water daily. Don't estimate. Measure it, and ration it, so it's spread-out throughout the day.

Most people diagnosed with reflux, etc., don't need meds they're just chronically dehydrated and don't schedule intake well due to "modern life".

Drink WATER every 30 min to 1 hour.

But, do see that doctor ASAP.

While you are in the process of waiting, for the right Doctor I would suggest: try Aloe Vera juice, found OTC. It is healing, with no side effects. Take about 4 oz when you feel the hearth burn or pain. It will heal internally and so will an occasional teaspoon of Honey. Do think, we forget if there were tomatoes or other red colored foods we might have had. Is the metal taste possibly coming from Dental work, or fillings in your teeth? Eliminate these possibilities before your next Dr. appointment. Being smoke free is the best thing you have done for yourself, and your health. Get well soon.

You may give any name to this disease of yours which has reached to that level that it is hurting you.

Your system is over worked. Don't eat till you really want it. Take 1 teaspoonful Aniseed with 1/2 glass of warm water every 2 hourly. Butter milk will not harm but will provide relief.

Take 4 glasses of water first thing in the morning, this should be routinely be done.

As read this, take 2 to 3 gallons of water (warm) you may add some salt for taste only, drink it in one go though slowly, wait a bit then take the whole thing out by putting your fingers deep in your mouth. The water will come out with toxins which have got accumulated in the stomach.

You will feel better, this is my wish. Good day.
