Can you get heartburn from eating too many cookies?

I've been having sharp stabbing pains in my chest near my heart for the past few hours, it's like heartburn but hurts more when I breathe deeply or stretch. I've eaten nothing but chocolate chip cookies for the past 30 hours or so, could this be causing it?

I'm 21 yrs old, female, and I've never had heart problems. Going to the doctor isn 't an option, period, so please don't suggest it.
I'm not too worried about this but the pain is much more consistent that heartburn I've had in the past. Any suggestions appreciated!

It could be the sugar from the cookies. However, you could have also strained a muscle of some sort if it hurts more when you breathe or stretch. Usually, if it is consistent, you are not having a heart attack. At your age, it is not very common especially in females. However, it could be an underlying condition. If it persists, you will need medical attention. I know you didn't want to here that, sorry.

Sure, the chocolate and fat in the cookies could easily give you heartburn, and 30 hours worth of them and nothing else seems like it could very well be the culprit.

what is a heartburn? but i do have experience with the descriptions that you have written. as for me the pain will eventually subside. just wait and rest well. go for a nap!

try tums to see if you get relief, then you will know if it's heartburn/indigestion/

take a tablet called zantac - this helps and if your chest is burning, if anything inside your body is burning, either in your stomach or chest, drink COLD milk (not too cold) not from the ice, drink cold milk and only milk, not cold water - water makes it more worse.
