What is a good exercise and diet for a woman with heart disease?

according to the doctor I had a mitral valve prolapse.

Exercise comfortably. As you feel better, you will be able to do more. As long as you are not breathless or gasping, your heart is not overtaxed.

Just start with a gradual 10 minute warmup, then continue with a somewhat higher heart rate thay will stay consistent for 5-30 minutes. If your heart rate keeps going up, then your exercise is too hard, and you need to slow down.

Gentle walking using walking poles is great exercise for anyone including people with heart problems. But of course check with your doctor first before starting any exercise program.

Mitral Valve Prolapse is not heart disease.. It's just a condition where the valve sticks when it opens and closes and many people, including me have it.. It's not fatal according to my doctor and does not mean you need to do anything special for it. But exercise all you want and eat a healthy diet since that really is best for our entire bodies and overall health.. :-)
