Memory loss and Open heart surgery? |
I had open heart surgery 2 years ago (MVP), and it seems since then, I have memory loss. Is this normal? I can remember what I did recently, but not from years ago. Yes, open heart surgery can cause some memory loss. However, it is most often a temporary problem that should have returned to normal by now. I would strongly encourage you to see your doctor and talk to him or her about this memory loss as it may or may not be related to your surgery.
