does having a heart murmur make you tired more easily because of blood leakage? It depends on the cause of the murmur and it's severity. A slight mitral valve prolapse shouldn't cause any real problems with fatigue, but a severe one might. There are other heart problems that cause murmurs that indicate a problem with the heart itself, that would also cause fatigue. If you are having problems and you have a history of a murmur, it's best to have it checked out by a professional. If you have aortic regurgitation, your heart is not as efficient and an inefficient heart has to work harder than one that is normal. If it is a mild problem then you probably won't be able to tell. If it is bad, you may be getting up in the morning and too tired to sit up right away....and not even know that this is not normal until you go to the doctor about an unrelated problem and they identify a murmur and then you go to surgery and then you are much better.
