Heart murmur and a career in law enforcment? |
While taking my pre-employment physical (Non-sworn, non-stressful position) with a large Orange County CA police department, I found out I have "what appears to be" an innocent heart murmur. The dr. practically said it in passing and suggested I have my normal physician take a look at it. A long with that heart murmur, I have other symptoms of hyperthyroidism. it should not be an issue but your doctor would be able to tell you for certain or not it will be fine.. i was going to go into the marines and their doctors said il be fine but i did not get in because i have asthma. I would worry about the "heart murmur" first. |
