Heart failure/heart enlargement reversible???

Last wednesday i had a high fever and infection. Then after the fever i feel that my exercise capability had decreased and my heart is pumping very hard. My heart is also very enlarged and i found out that its heart failure. 2 days ago my head started to become very dizzy. Very mild dizziness.

So i am asking is heart failure or an enlarged heart treatable or reversible???

Btw i am 18. Its very stressful for me

How do you know that it is heart failure? Have you seen a cardiologist? Considering the infection myocarditis sounds like a possiblity.

In medicine (cardiology), myocarditis is inflammation of the myocardium, the muscular part of the heart. It is generally due to infection (viral or bacterial). It may present with chest pain, rapid signs of heart failure, or sudden death.

How did you make sure u have heart failure? Have you consulted a Cardiologist. 2D Echo will tell u how well your heart functions.
Even if it is heart failure, the condition must be Post viral Cardiomyopathy, which is potentially reversible.

Did they tell you what caused your heart failure? I have PPCM (post partum cardiomyopathy 1996, I was 26). A form of dilated cardiomyopathy which can also be caused by a virus that attacks the heart muscle. Which seems to be your case. For a large number of people it corrects itself to normal, for another group it remains as it, and then for a smaller group it gets worst.

There are 2 type of Heart Diseases: The bloood vessel at the heart a bit clog & Heart muscle weak..

In the USA, there are records of patients who took "Co Q10" & their heart diseases dropped from stage 4 to stage 1.. You can try too! But other than Co Q10, i know they did take other food supplements but this has to depend on your actual heart problem..
