I think I have Heart failure, Should I go 2 the doctor? |
I have chest pains on & off, or sometimes during nights the chest pains will occur and I can't go to sleep. During rough exercise like running and high impact aerobics the chest pains will worsen and as I am breathing heavily, I feel as if I'm breathing blood/tasting blood. I exercise for a hour 5 days a week and eat sensible, I don't know what wrong with me. I am so scared of going to the doctor b/c america's health care is bad. I'm 17 yrs old and I have a pre-paid child health plus insurance which doesn't really cover everything. So when I do turn 18, I will have to find new insurance, if the insurance company sees that I have a possibilty of heart failure or any kind of disease they will deny me. Any1 who watched Sicko would understand, I have a life ahead of me but I can't be dealing with hostipal/doctor bills when I get 2 college without no health insurance. Which means no doctor visit for me!!! Also when I was 14 to 16 years old I had bulimia/anorexia Hey, if you're of young age, not overweight/obese, non-smoker and you've been previously fit and well until now, no childhood heart trouble then the liklihood of you having heart failure is slim to none. yes u should go to the doctors U defiantly need 2 go 2 the doc dear. God Bless You! =) http://www.webmd.com/heart-disease/heart... You definitely don't have heart failure or you wouldn't be exercising like you do. It might be wise to walk instead of run. All chest pain should be investigasted in the Emergency Dept. Are you describing angina? (very serious) - watch out for sudden death too!! lets be blunt,if you have a heart condition, or acid reflux, or bring this on from worry.you are 17yrs old, do you have a history of heart problem in your family? From your description, your exercise could be causing your chest pain. Without being diagnosed with heart disease or having a heart attack, you do not have heart failure. I would be taking ibuprofen on a regular basis for the next 2 weeks, cut back on any exercise involving your arms and go to WebMd and look at costochondritis which is an inflammation of the muscles in your chest. I believe you can clear this up yourself. If it doesn't, then consider seeing a doctor. |
