Taking Coreg for heart failure, no sex drive. Anyone else have this problem?

I am taking COREG for heart failure, and lately i feel like a have no sex drive. My husband TRIES to be intimate with me, I can feel it in my mind but it just doesn't get (down there to stimulate anything). I discovered that Coreg blocks receptors in your body from picking up certian hormones. Coreg blocks receptors Alapha 1, and Beta 1,2 from receiveing hormones...it doesn't let them bind together. I also read that Alpha 2 receptor is mainly responsible for sex drive and sex organs.....I'm still not sure if Coreg affects that receptor. Does anyone have ideas on how to enchance sex drive when on COREG? HELP.

Hello,
I've been on COREG for over a year now, I have a host of other medical problems, but I'm taking the COREG for an enlarged heart due to the chemo that I was on. This is suppose to be a miracle drug and I haven't noticed any benefits as of yet.
My Doctor said that Beta Blockers may cause this problem because of blood flow and so far I haven't noticed a difference one way or the other. I take 6.125 and 3.125 mil a day once in the morning and once in the evening along with about 40 other pills.
I do have other friends that swear by the drug and they all complain about loss of sex drive, but they are all men and the doctor has prescribed them Viagra, Levitra and other ED Drugs.
I hope that you are feeling better and you find the help that you need.

I have had the same problem, i dont know what it blocks, but i was a sex freak before, now id rather sleep!!!
