How would you define a condition of "stable heart failure"? |
Doesnt 'stable' connotate a feeling of security? How does it differ from Chronic Heart Failure? Heart failure covers a lot of ground. Mild heart failure may just cause some ankle swelling or shortness of breath - severe heart failure would suggest someone who is confined to bed, requiring oxygen etc. Stable just means it isn't getting better or worse. Possibly someone with Congestive Heart Failure in stable condition. Congestive Heart Failure is a condition that doesn't go away, but the person can be in stable condition. Stable heart failure is known as just the enlargement of the heart; there is no difference to Chronic Heart Failure, this just denotes that this has been occuring over a long period of time. Aerobic activity has been known to help patients with stable heart failure to partially recover from their condition. |
