How common are gained heart problems in 20-25 year old males? I mean excluding defects you're bo?

How common is it for men of my age to acquire heart problems such as heart disease, enlarged hearts, valve problems, aorta probs and other defects?

I know some probs are inherited and there from birth but what is the likelyhood of someone my age acquiring a heart defect of any kind?

title means to ask born with?

Its not a high chance, but there is an incidence of around 10% (taking into account all possible heart problems);
Its higher than a lot of people realise!

Men your age generaly don't acquire these types of problems. they are usualy acquired through poor diet and lack of excersise. All of these can be inherited and possibly not start showing until you reach that age but are usualy attributed to poor diet. You are to young to be worrying about these things as long as you stay in shape and off the couch.

Its very unlikely that someone of your age will acquire a heart problem (unless your diet is pure butter).

However, there are some problems/predispositions that, while inherited, will not become observable until the mid teens/mid twenties. If you are having new symptoms it is possible that you have a genetic heart problem despite the fact they are new.
