Is a bi-cuspid valve heart defect an ssi disability? |
HELP I cannot get a difinitive answer on this. I do not doubt that the social security administration wants us to have as little information as possible, so they can weasel out of honest peoples payments. OOOPS! do i sound a little bitter. Well i add my digust to yours on this, all of us who have a legitamate gripe and the goverment wants to, and does, turn a deaf ear to us. So if you know i would be most gratful so i can continue my puny efforts to get some help. thanks It depends on the extent to which this general diagnosis actually impairs your capacity to function. Many with this diagnosis are working and leading normal lives.. Q. Who is eligible for Disability benefits? How many times have you filed? What was the earliest date you filed? Get your doctor's reports and go to an attorney who handles lawsuits for people who cannot get their disability because Social Security is putting your claims off. But be for-warned that you will more than likely have to be evaluated by another doctor that Social Security chooses to evaluate you also. The attorneys do not charge if you are denied, and they cannot help you. The way they are paid is they will take a % of the pro-rated Social Security settlement if you get accepted. It is a sad fact this happens. My daughter was successful doing this after being denied 3 times, and Social Security does not like being sued as they have to pay court costs, attorney's fees, and give a pro-rated settlement from the date of the first time you filed and was denied. Good luck. I just started receiving disability benefits after working 35 YEARS and paying into the system.... I have 2 terminal illnesses which of COURSE will result in my death.... social security disability is NOT meant to be a SUPPLEMENT to your WORK salary so if you are still capable of holding down a job, you will more then likely be turned down for any type of disability benefits... My doctors did use the word TERMINAL on several of the forms I submitted to Disability... along with ALL of my records from ALL of my doctors and the records from BOTH hospitals I was admitted to this past December....... if you ARE truly entitled to the benefits, you will receive them----and if your DOCTORS have stated that you can work, you will NOT receive the benefits.....simple as that.... I wish with all my heart that I DIDN'T qualify for the benefits... but think of it this way---I may have 2-4 years left and would be collecting a LOT MORE if I had lived past the age where I would collect regular social security.... |
